US Conec unveils singlemode, thermoplastic MT ferrules

US Conec Ltd. has announced the immediate availability of singlemode-capable thermoplastic MT ferrules.
According to the company, the extremely low hygroscopic properties of its glass filled, polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) MT ferrules offer an environmentally superior singlemode MT, which can be produced with large volume injection molding. The highly stable PPS material enables the preparation of fiber tip protrusion with both reduced polishing time and force, resulting in improved endface geometry control. Singlemode PPS MT ferrules are available in high volume, are compatible with MTP Brand MPO connector components, and are fully compliant with IEC 61754-7, says the company.
US Conec Ltd. manufactures singlemode and multimode MT style and contract multifiber ferrules, the MTP Brand MPO connector family, concours optical flexible circuits and fanouts, and contract precision molded parts for optical packaging. The company also sells OptiPop and IBC brands novel dry cloth connector cleaning products.
